California Access To Justice Commission’s 2021 Annual Report

2021 was an eventful year with some new beginnings for the Access Commission.

We welcomed new Commissioners, new committees, and new projects. Some of the projects detailed in the annual report include:

  • We started new grant funding programs to distribute over $5M in grant funds to legal services programs and community-based organizations.

  • We published reports on legal aid recruitment, retention, & diversity as well as health equity in rural attorney deserts.

  • With the support of the State Bar we began a partnership with Voices for Civil Justice to elevate the voice of legal aid in the state through communications with the newly established California Voices for Civil Justice.

Download and read the report to learn more about our 2021 accomplishments and see the exciting projects on the horizon for the Commission.
